Is RapidSkim Academy suitable for beginners?
RapidSkim Academy is designed for plasterers who already understand the basics of skimming. If you can comfortably skim walls and ceilings, this course will help you upgrade the way you work. Whether you’ve been plastering for one year or thirty, the RapidSkim System is about working smarter, not teaching the basics.
Why is the Academy online?
Instead of travelling, booking specific dates, taking time off work or paying for accommodation, you can learn whenever it suits you and revisit every lesson whenever you need to. I’ve been plastering for years. Will I still benefit?
Absolutely. This isn't made for begginners, The RapidSkim System isn’t a collection of methods copied from YouTube or other plasterers. Many experienced plasterers have completely changed the way they work after learning the system.
Do spatulas cause hollows or tiger stripes?
No. When used correctly, they don’t. Most plasterers experience these problems because they’re using the wrong techniques, not because of the spatula itself. The Academy shows you exactly how to avoid them, why they happen and how to correct them, so you can work with confidence.
Is this for only UK & Irish Plasters?
The Academy is built around UK multi-finish/board finish plasters and Irish white finish plasters. However, the principles behind the RapidSkim System go far beyond the plaster itself.
